The Highlands Christian Academy (HCA) elementary program is designed to give students a solid, broad-spectrum academic foundation from a Christian viewpoint. It is our privilege to teach boys and girls that Jesus Christ is to be preeminent in all areas of their lives, including their education. Academic excellence and biblical instruction are combined, teaching students character development in addition to their core subjects.

A strong emphasis is placed on learning to read using the phonics method of teaching. Other academic subjects include traditional math, language arts, science, social studies, and Bible. The ABeka curriculum – a proven, professional, practical curriculum – is used extensively throughout the elementary grades and complemented with other quality curriculums.

Each of our students receives personal nurture and attention from their Christian teachers. Students are instilled with courage so they can be and do all that God has planned for them. Special “help classes” are offered for students who are struggling in a particular subject area.
